AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP has submitted Modification No. 6 to the General Plan of Urban Ordination to the City Council of Cortes de Arenoso (Castellón), thus beginning the environmental and territorial assessment of this new planning instrument. The amendment aims to modify the land classification, incorporating a 6,638 m² area of developable industrial land, designated SI-01. According to the current plan, the affected land is classified as non-developable common agricultural, livestock, and hunting land (SNUC-AG) and is located in a position considered ideal due to its minimal environmental and landscape impact, good road access, and proximity to the water bottling plant, which is the main industry in Cortes de Arenoso.
The aim of this amendment is to facilitate the establishment of small local industries that will allow a stable population to take root in a very small town, far from major economic centers and affected by severe depopulation. This is all in line not only with the current legal framework but also with the policies supposedly being promoted by the various government bodies.
This change is implemented through the graphic delimitation, in the structural planning maps, of the area where the new industrial sector is planned, and with the inclusion of its management plan and the adjustment of the statistical tables in the General Plan od Urban Ordination (PGOU) that include land classification and other urban planning parameters.
