Coinciding with Architecture Week 2025, which is being celebrated throughout Spain, the Official College of Architects of the Valencian Community has organized a series of activities, including the presentation of the Master Plan of Alpuente (Valencia), drafted by AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP. The plan recently received the HONORABLE MENTION FOR URBAN PLANNING AND URBAN PROJECT from the Association of Urban Architects, as the best urban planning and project document.

The presentation of the plan will be led by urban architect and director of the drafting team, Víctor García Gil. The Mayor of Alpuente, the Head of the Urban Planning Section of the Valencia Provincial Council, and another member of the drafting team will also speak.
The presentation of the plan will take into account the context and audience profile, avoiding technicalities and providing a broad and accessible overview, similar to the approach Víctor García Gil took when, before beginning to draft the General Plan, he visited the municipality with the simple purpose of enjoying its landscapes and heritage.
The Alpuente General Plan and all its related documents constitute a success story in the rural world and demonstrate that good urban planning is possible when all stakeholders pull together, and when there is professionalism, commitment, and conviction in the work.
