AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP continues to collaborate with businesses located in rural areas that need to regularize their urban planning status. These types of businesses are the foundation of the economic activity of many towns and frequently find themselves in a situation of urban planning inadequacy, due to the complex framework that must be navigated to develop an economic activity in the Valencian Community. Aware of this situation, the Valencian government amended the Consolidated Text of the Law on Territorial Planning, Urbanism and Landscape and approved the Twenty-Fourth Transitional Provision, on the Regularization of Industrial and Service Activities on Non-Urbanizable Land. With this Provision, which had a limited timeframe, some activities were able to be regularized, but many others remained outside the scope due to lack of awareness on the part of their owners or other circumstances. Furthering the conviction that it is necessary to facilitate the regularization of businesses and initiatives that drive the economy of many towns, the Valencian government amended the aforementioned provision through Law 2/2025, expressly adding tertiary activities, which had already been included following the rewording introduced by Decree-Law 14/2023, and establishing a new, also limited, regularization period.
Within this new framework, which will end on December 31, 2025, AUG-ARQUITECTOS, SLP has prepared the necessary technical documents for the regularization of two businesses located in Gaibiel and Cinctorres, small inland towns in the province of Castellón. In both cases, the businesses are located on non-urbanizable land and have been operating irregularly, from a planning perspective, for more than 20 years. Many local jobs depend directly and indirectly on the continued operation of these businesses. With the regularization that is being pursued and that must be resolved by the relevant regional body, the situation will be cleared for the complete regularization and patrimonialization of the facilities and will contribute to establishing a stable and resident population in an area seriously affected by depopulation.
